AI search visibility for med spas

When a patient asks AI where to get Botox, does it say your name?

They don't get ten links anymore. They get two or three practices, named. Your Google ranking has nothing to do with which ones. We find out why yours isn't among them, and we fix it.

What we found before we built this

We audited the best-ranked med spas in Los Angeles. Virtually none had built an answer layer AI could draw on.

These were practices already winning local search — awards on the wall, hundreds of five-star reviews, thorough service pages listing every treatment from Agnes RF to Sculptra. Beautiful sites, built for a patient who is already reading them. Nothing built for the thing deciding which names to hand over.

What they had

Everything the old game rewards

  • Top of page one for "med spa" plus their city
  • Beautifully written treatment pages
  • Hundreds of genuine five-star reviews
  • Real credentials, real injectors, real results
What none of them had

Anything the new game requires

  • A page answering the questions patients actually ask — cost, downtime, longevity, whether it hurts
  • Anything a machine could lift and quote: a number, a range, a straight answer
  • Structured data identifying what kind of practice this is
  • Presence on the aesthetics sources AI actually pulls from

That's the whole thesis. Nobody asks AI about "Agnes RF." They ask what Botox costs, whether filler hurts, and how long it lasts. Being the practice it quotes is not a writing exercise. Most of what decides it never appears on your website at all.

The Answer Layer Method

You can’t control the answer. You can control what it’s built from.

An AI answer isn’t invented. It is assembled out of whatever these systems can find and quote about you — and what they can find is entirely yours to determine. Nobody controls how the answer gets assembled. Everybody can control what it gets assembled from, and almost nobody has.

There are three kinds of signal it draws on, and none of them is a small job. One is code that has to be written correctly and then validated. One is two dozen questions that have to be researched before a word of the answer can be written, then written again for every treatment you offer. One spans dozens of separate properties, each with its own rules, none of them your website. None of it is your Google ranking. And almost no med spa has done any of it — not because it’s optional, but because this is barely two years old and it isn’t anyone’s job yet.

01

Can it tell what you are?

Structured data declaring your category, location, treatments and credentials — written as code in a schema the crawlers parse, then validated, because a malformed block is read as nothing at all. It’s kinda like a nutrition label: a patient reads the packaging, a machine reads the label. Most med spa sites have no label, and the ones that do usually have it declaring the wrong kind of business.

02

Have you answered the question?

A treatment menu is not an answer — and neither is a blog post. AI lifts a sentence, so it has to sit where the sentence can be found and be specific enough to quote. Two dozen questions, and that is before you multiply them by your treatment menu — “does it hurt” is a different answer for Botox than for Morpheus8. Which ones are worth answering in your city is research. Writing them so a machine will actually pull them is a format, and it is close to the opposite of how marketing copy is written.

03

What does the rest of the web say?

About 77% of what AI cites lives off your site — RealSelf, aesthetics directories, review platforms, local roundups. It's kinda like references on a résumé. Yours says you’re excellent; the references are what get checked. There are dozens of them, each with its own rules, and most practices are missing from the ones that matter and unclaimed on half the ones they’re on.

How we work

Scan, compare, build, compound.

Step 01

Scan

We read your site the way four different systems read it — they don’t weigh sources the same — then work outward through everything they draw on for your city. Most of what we find isn’t on your website.

Step 02

Compare

We find which practices are being named instead of you, what they did to earn it, and which of those positions are still open. Not every question is winnable; the point is knowing which are.

Step 03

Build

Schema written and validated. Answer pages researched, then written to a format machines quote from. Profiles rebuilt. Citations placed across the general and aesthetics sources that actually feed these systems — dozens of properties, each with its own rules.

Step 04

Compound

Every answered question is another query you can be pulled into, and every citation makes the next one easier to place. Meanwhile competitors publish, profiles drift, and new treatments bring new questions. The library grows or the position erodes.

One engine, three ways in

We build it. The engine is what keeps it moving.

Everything here builds toward one thing: your practice being named when a patient asks AI where to go.

The $497 builds it — the markup, the answers, the profiles, the citations. Done properly, and done once. That work starts producing on its own.

The $249 a month is the engine. Built is not the same as running. The day it’s finished is the day it starts aging: competitors publish, new products launch, listings drift, and the question you own this month is the one somebody else is writing about next month. The engine is what keeps producing.

The $199 is the plans, if you’d rather see them before you commit to the build.

You or your web person implements it. It shows you every gap and hands you the code. It doesn’t write the answers — that’s the Done-For-You service, where all 24 get researched, written and installed. It also doesn’t include the off-site work — the listings, citations and profile rebuilds that make up most of what AI actually reads.
Keeps it moving

AI Visibility Engine

$249/month

Every month we ask ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity the questions your patients ask — and count how many of them name you. Then we go and win the ones that didn’t.

  • The number that matters, every month. Named in 7 of 24 questions, up from 3. That is the whole business in one line, and you will see it move.
  • Your answer layer expanded across your menu. “Does it hurt” is a different answer for Botox, for Morpheus8, for laser. Twenty-four questions across your treatments is over a hundred real answers. It does not run out.
  • When a rival publishes, we answer better. Within the month.
  • New devices and injectables, answered first. Daxxify and Letybo didn’t exist three years ago. Every launch is a question nobody has answered yet.
  • Seasonal answers, published early. “How far before my wedding should I get filler” is asked in February by someone about to spend real money. We publish in January.
  • Three to five new citations a month, and your Google profile kept live — posts expire after seven days, and a quiet profile reads as a quiet business
  • Your Google Q&A seeded — you can post answers on your own profile, and almost no practice does
  • We catch the things you’d be embarrassed by. Every practice we audit has one. July specials still running in late August. Three different review counts on three pages. A contact link with half the address missing.
  • Listings watched for drift, markup re-validated when your site changes, reviews answered
  • Your report lands the first Tuesday of every month. Always.
  • Cancel anytime

Questions

What owners ask first.

How do patients actually use AI to find a med spa?

They ask treatment questions long before they search for a provider. How much Botox costs in their city. Whether filler hurts. How long Ultherapy results last. Which practice near them is good. AI answers with two or three names rather than a page of links — and 45% of consumers now use AI this way, up from 6% a year ago.

Does ranking well on Google mean AI will recommend me?

No. They're different systems reading different signals. A practice can rank first for "med spa" plus its city and never be named when AI is asked the same question. Your existing SEO isn't wasted — it just doesn't transfer on its own.

Why isn't my practice showing up?

Many reasons: no structured data identifying what you are, no page answering the treatment questions patients ask, business details that disagree across the web, thin presence on the aesthetics sources AI draws from — and that last one alone spans dozens of separate properties, each with its own rules. Roughly 77% of what it cites isn't your own website.

How much does this cost?

Agencies serving mid-market clients charge $2,000 to $10,000 per month. We serve med spas at $199 for a one-time report and fix pack, $497 for done-for-you implementation and the off-site work, and $249 per month for ongoing expansion.

Do you work with other med spas near me?

No — one per city, and never two within five miles of each other. We confirm your area is open before any work starts, and refund the same day if it isn’t.

Why only med spas?

Because the answers patients want are specific. Knowing that people ask about unit pricing, longevity and downtime — and knowing which aesthetics directories AI actually reads — is the difference between a generic audit and one that's useful. We'd rather be genuinely good at one thing.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend me?

No, and nobody honestly can. These systems are third-party controlled and change without notice. We sell the work — structured data, answer pages, profile optimization, citation building. Deliverables, never results we don't control.

What's your refund policy?

Full refund on request within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. Monthly subscriptions cancel anytime and aren't charged again. See our refund policy.

A small team, for med spas.

You deal with the people doing the work.

North Slope Digital is a small independent consultancy in Southern California working exclusively with med spas and aesthetics practices. There are no account managers and nothing gets handed to a junior — the people who audit your practice are the people who write the fixes.

We keep the client list short and take one practice per area, so our work is never used against someone we've already worked for.

Questions before you commit are welcome. Email us and you'll get a straight, specific answer — usually the same day, from the person who'd actually do the work. No calendar link, no discovery call, no pitch.
